Volunteer Opportunities
Numerous service opportunities exist at the Center for you to choose from. We appreciate every gift of time and talent.
Bookstore...Assist with the sales of books, CD's, and craft items on Sunday mornings, and meet interesting new friends at the same time.
Landscaping & Plant Maintenance...Loving hands and a good drink of water make our drought resistant plants thrive, and provide a beautiful setting for our celebrations together.
Maintenance...For those who prefer a paint brush or a screwdriver, we are always in need of helpers to refresh or renovate our beautiful building and grounds.
Pot Luck Lunch...There is also the opportunity to give a couple of hours one Sunday a month to help serve the wonderful "pot-luck" lunch we serve each Sunday after the Celebration Service.
Volunteer Appreciation Events
Our volunteers are so important that we host three special events each year just to honor their service to our spiritual community.
The April event is a Picnic next door in Corwin Park and we recognize an outstanding volunteer over the previous four months.
The August event is a BBQ in our East Patio and features dancing to the toe-tapping tunes selected by our DJ Steve Elliott.
Our December event is a Spaghetti Dinner in our Fellowship Hall, festively decorated for the Holidays and filled with the smell of spiced hot cider.
The picture below shows Rev. Skip acknowledging Dolores Shinabarger as our "Volunteer Award Winner" at the December 7th Spaghetti Dinner.
